- How do I go about applying for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)?
- Do I have to live in Washtenaw County to participate?
- No, it is not necessary for you to be a Washtenaw County resident.
- Does the job have to take place in Washtenaw County in order for me to participate and receive payment for the work?
- No, if you are found to be eligible and the employer you'd like to work with has applied for and been granted approval as a work site, the job does not need to take place in Washtenaw County.
- Do I have to be a U.S. Citizen to participate in this program?

- How do I become eligible to receive funding?
- Do I have to hire who Michigan Works! sends or can I choose who I want?
- You choose who to hire. Accepting applications, determining who to interview and extending a job offer will be entirely up to you as the employer. This is not a employee-employer match program.
- What do I do once I've offered the job to someone?
- Follow steps/guidelines as put forth by the Washtenaw County Etcs/Michigan Works! office
